Overview of High Holy Days Sermons
Rabbi Gordon Freeman

We are delighted to have our Rabbi Emeritus, Gordon Freeman, officiate at our services this year and we look forward to very meaningful sermons. Rabbi Freeman will guide us in taking an introspective look within ourselves as individuals to reaffirm our commitment to Judaism and to each other. We will work together to build our future based on our special qualities as a congregational community.

Erev Rosh Hashanah - Where Do We Go From Here?
Our congregation possesses special and unique qualities. Applying those qualities will insure that we can face the future with confidence.

Rosh Hashanah, First Day – Pray? Daven
Why I am unable to pray, but I certainly can daven.

Rosh Hashanah, Second Day – Israel On My Mind
Israel exists in a hostile neighborhood, yet it is strong and able to flourish.

Kol Nidrei – Promise and Trust
Kol Nidre is about broken promises. Yom Kippur is about the renewal of trust despite the broken promises
.

Yom Kippur – Where Does Bread Come From?
The real meaning of Hamotze lehem min ha'aretz and its application to our lives.
